Checkered Keel back | നീര്‍കോലി


Checkered Keel back is a non venomous snake seen in India, especially in ponds and lakes of Kerala. This water snake, is closely related with the nostalgic feelings of Keralite childhood memories..

  3. This is a Cobra [Venomous], not checkered keelback. Please check the marking on the back of the neck.

    1. yeah, there is a possibility as i am not an expert in this field.. but i had confirmed it as keel back from my friends who had expertise in wildlife.. and if it is cobra, i hav to be cautious in the surroundings of my house!!
