Pulikkali is a cultural event associated with Onam celebrations of Kerala. Puli means Tiger, Kali means play.. so in Malayalam, Puli + Kali = Pulikkali. Performers paints their body like tigers and dances from temple to temple and street to street along with drummers behind them. This folk art form is usually practiced in Thrissur district of Kerala.
